BUDAPEST 2016 - ILAB CONGRESS & INTERNATIONAL ANTIQUARIAN BOOK FAIR

For the first time ever ...

... the Hungarian rare book dealers invite colleagues and collectors from across the world to Budapest. The 42nd ILAB Congress and 26th ILAB International Antiquarian Book Fair from 21 to 25 September 2016 will present Budapest as one of the most beautiful cities and one of the most fascinating book capitals in Europe.

Dear Colleagues,

Before the first International ILAB Congress and Fair in Budapest in September, we would like you to have a glimpse into its programme. First of all, we have prepared a brief series on the most prestigious libraries and sights of Budapest, continuing with the

History and tradition come together in the Lázár Equestrian Park. The horse-ranch of the coach driving world champion Lazar brothers is situated 35 km from Budapest, in the heart of Domonyvölgy, nestling among the picturesque lakes of the Gödöllö Hills. It is a favourite destination of local and international tourists alike, who seek a venue for various programmes and events, for relaxation and adventure accompanied by genuine Hungarian hospitality. Countless companies, diplomatic bodies and casual groups of friends have organised their outings, side events to their conferences or family programmes here.

The Park has restaurants of various styles, where up to 750 guests can enjoy the highlights of Hungarian cuisine accompanied by Gipsy music. Specialities for the discerning palette include oven-baked „lángos”, grilled meat and roasted pig on the spit. Guest are also offered fruit brandy with freshly baked Hungarian scones. They can watch a village scene with horses of traditional breeds, the stables as well as the horse museum of the Lázár brothers. This is followed by a horse show and a carriage ride through the nearby forests.
