Sarah Baldwin

Sarah Baldwin of E. Wharton & Co. is the current President of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America (ABAA) and a well-known specialist in literary first editions of the 19th century through the present, featuring women writers, original women's rights material, and all items related to women.

E. Wharton & Co., named after the writer Edith Wharton and established in 1979, also offers decorated trade bindings, cookery titles and, occasionally, movable and pop-up books. Sarah Baldwin has handled archives of Elizabeth Bishop, Clara Barton, Charlotte Perkins Gilmanand and developed collections of the works of contemporary writers such as Amy Clampitt, Edwidge Danticat, Anne Tyler and Wendy Wasserstein. She is also a member of The Bibliographical Society of America, The Ephemera Society, The Manuscript Society, the Rare Book and Manuscript Section of the America Library Association and the Washington Rare Book Group.
