ONCE AGAIN IN 2016

SPEED DATING FOR BOOKLOVERS ACROSS THE WORLD

What is it and why should you take part?

The ILAB Pop Up Book Fairs on World Book & Copyright Day 2015 were an enormous success and an amazing experience - worldwide. So, is there is any reason not to pop up again in 2016?

NO!

On April 23, 2016, antiquarian booksellers from the east coast of Australia, through Japan; South Africa and Europe to the west coast of the USA will be celebrating UNESCO’s World Book and Copyright Day by holding Pop Up Book Fairs in their local area!

Pop Up Fairs are great - you bring very little stock, just a few good books, put them out on a table and you are not exhibiting for long. The advantage of this type of fair is that it is low or no cost for the exhibitors to take part in and they do not require anything like the organisation of the traditional fairs. These fairs are something quite different!

Imagine a Pop Up Book Fair in an unexpected location - a library foyer, another dealer's premises, an up market car dealer’s premises, a railway station, or a woolshed in Australia. These are the type of places that some of your colleagues around the world will be exhibiting in. Venues for pop up fairs are only limited by the imagination….
