From Wall Street to the rare book trade.
“There was no future in this business”, says Michael S. Hollander when he thinks of his work at the stock markets in the 1970s. “I got tired of the negativity and looked for another job”. Michael S. Hollander turned his private interests into his profession. As a collector of art books he was introduced to most of the New York dealers, he got an insight into the rare book world and decided to start on his own. In 1974 he became an ABAA member. Today Michael S. Hollander is located in San Rafael, California, and specialized in modern illustrated books, photography, travel, Asia, Orientalia and Judaica.
