54th London International Antiquarian Book Fair, 2011

Whatever you collect, whatever your subject, curiosity or indulgence, you will find something to capture your imagination and interest at the 54th International Antiquarian Book Fair from 9 to 11 June at the Olympia Exhibition Centre. The Fair will be brimming with printed works dating from the 15th to the 21st centuries including manuscripts, prints, ephemera, photographs, maps and atlases from all ages and from all corners of the globe, presented by over 160 world expert dealers.

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre - Charity Partner 2011

"We are excited about our new charity partner, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, represented by Zoe Wanamaker", says Fair Chairman Robert Frew. The Honorary President of Shakespeare's Globe will open the Fair on Thursday, 9 June, during the Preview.

Book Launch - British Map Engravers

The "Dictionary of Engravers, Lithographers and Their Principal Employers to 1850" contains previously unpublished material on almost every page: Laurence Worms and Ashley Baynton-Williams present their long-awaited work at the London Map Fair at the Royal Geographical Society from 11 to 12 June.

Out of this World: Science Fiction but not as you know it

The British Library's first exhibition to explore science fiction through literature, film, illustration and sound. On show are, among many others exceptional books and manuscripts: Thomas More's, Utopia (1516), Lucian, True History (1647), Edward Bulwer-Lytton's The Coming Race (1871), H G Wells, The War of the Worlds (1906). The Book that changed the World

2011 is the year of the King James Bible. The London International Antiquarian Book Fair celebrates the 400th anniversary of the Bible with a special exhibition and a lecture by Rev. David Smith. The Lambeth Palace Library honours the King James with an exhibition focusing on the Bible and its translations: "Out of the Orginal Sacred Tongues".
