BUDAPEST 2016 - THE MEETING PLACE FOR ANTIQUARIAN BOOKSELLERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD

After Paris, Lucerne, Bologna and Madrid book dealers and book collectors met in Budapest for the 42nd ILAB Congress and 26th International Antiquarian Book Fair from 21 to 25 September 2016. The Hungarian Antiquarian Booksellers' Association (MAE) and its President ÃdÃ¡m BÅsze organized an exciting congress programme that showed the delegates from across the world that Budapest is a city with many faces: the old Hungarian capital full of books and music, history and tradition and at the same time a lively and busy Eastern European centre full of young and amazing cultural concepts.

On behalf of the Hungarian Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association, I kindly invite you to the 42nd Congress of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers, which will take place in Budapest between 21 and 23 September, 2016. I am very proud that we, the Hungarian Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association, have the honour to organise this prestigious event, and I promise to do my very best to ensure that all participants can take home an enriching experience with them. It makes me especially happy to be able to welcome you at the First Budapest International Antiquarian Book Fair related to the ILAB Congress, both as visitors and as exhibitors.

22 September 2016 - ILAB Congress

9 am: Walk to the University Library

9:30 am: World of the Bibliotheca Corviniana - Codex Dante. Guided tour through the Library of Eötvös Loránd University
11:30 am: General Assembly in the library's grand hall

1 pm: Lunch at the Café Central

3 pm: Free time activity

5 pm: Gödöllő, Lázár Equestrian Park. Horse show, pálinka, traditional Hungarian cuisine, live gipsy music etc.

23 September 2016 - ILAB Congress
