Books of Renaissance

Independent book adviser and antiquarian bookseller specialising in early printed European books, 1454–1600. Active in the rare book trade since 2010.

My work centres on advice: I help collectors, fellow booksellers and scholars find the right books and understand their significance. I source books on request, identify and attribute editions, check the authenticity and completeness of copies, and provide valuations.
My research treats the book as a whole: the text itself, the printing and publication of the edition, and the history and distinctive features of the individual copy.

I arrange conservation and restoration, from defining the scope of work to choosing the most suitable restorer. Where needed, I obtain expert opinions from libraries, research institutions and scholars in the relevant field.
