CHILDREN'S BOOKS. Part 1

Orsi Libri

This is Part 1 of a series of upcoming lists devoted to juvenile literature, which we’ll have the pleasure to share with you during the weeks to come.

Part 1 includes a bunch of lovely copies of Beatrix Potter’s celebrated works and a particularly important item (no. 34): an early French book illustrating children’s games among which “poisoned ball” is described. The latter has sometimes been acknowledged as the forerunner sport of a much-loved game in the US, that is, baseball.
