Map of Green Gate Farm Antiquarian Books

We have been booksellers and as importantly, book collectors for over twenty years. We apply the same exacting standards in selecting books offered for sale as those chosen for our own collection. We lived for an extended period of time in Inverness, Scotland where our appreciation and understanding of the Arts and Crafts movement took root, resulting in our primary area of expertise. The work of William Morris, Jessie M. King, Elbert Hubbard, John Ruskin and their contemporaries is at the heart of our inventory. We have many volumes that are not on the Internet and welcome inquiries about particular books you are seeking. We travel extensively to assure personal selection of new stock in the decorative and applied arts of the 1890's, literary first editions, illustrated books and fine bindings. We offer appraisal and consultation services for individuals and institutions. Our shop is located in a stone home, inspired by the architecture of the Cotswold district of England, approximately one hour east of Kansas City, Missouri. The rural setting provides visitors a quiet place to consider additions to their collection over a cup of coffee or glass of wine. We are available by appointment and look forward to welcoming you. Please call ahead for directions.
