Founded in 1965 and acquired in 2016 by Mazzei Librerie S.r.l., Libreria Antiquaria Colonnese is now run by a young team who passionately carry on one of Naples’ most historic bookselling traditions.

Libreria Antiquaria Colonnese offers a wide selection of books dedicated to Naples and Campania: alongside new publications, it features modern antiquarian books, as well as ancient, rare, out-of-print, and fine editions. The catalogue ranges from the sixteenth century to the present day and includes foreign-language books, lithographs, prints, postcards, and ephemera.

Particular attention is also devoted to original and carefully curated thematic sections, such as those dedicated to esotericism and Freemasonry. There is also a section devoted to cat lovers, along with many others covering cinema and theatre, children’s literature, non-fiction, cookery, women’s literature, and art.

Libreria Antiquaria Colonnese is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Culture and is listed in the Register of Quality Bookshops. It is a member of ALAI (Associazione Librai Antiquari d’Italia) and ILAB (International League of Antiquarian Booksellers), attesting to its constant commitment to the quality, protection, and promotion of rare and antiquarian books.
