SLAM, the organiser of one of the world's leading rare book fairs, has announced a new date and venue for its flagship event. The next Paris Rare Book and Graphic Arts Fair will move to the month of June and to the historic district of the Marais, renowned for its historic architecture, many galleries, museums, and other cultural offerings.

Le Carreau du Temple, a building steeped in Parisian history: From a 12th-century Templar enclosure to today's market hall, several centuries of history have shaped this site. Since 2014, the fully renovated Carreau du Temple has welcomed cultural events every year, right in the heart of the popular historic Marais district.

A reference event for books and works on paper, it brings together more than 130 booksellers, autograph dealers, print and drawing galleries, specialist publishers and book artisans. From the oldest works to the most surprising contemporary avant-gardes, thousands of documents reveal the magic of our written and graphic heritage.
Under the high patronage of Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic of France, this fair is one of the highest standards: all exhibitors in the Rare Books section are members of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers and, for French exhibitors, affiliated to the Syndicat de la Librairie Ancienne et Moderne (SLAM). Of the 230 members of SLAM, almost half will be present at the most beautiful event of its kind in France and one of the most important in the world, which highlights the exceptional cultural heritage of our collective memory, following the traces left by the human spirit over the centuries, from the oldest works, the first books, to the contemporary avant-garde.
All exhibitors are subject to a selection committee which guarantees the authenticity of the works and the accuracy of the descriptions of the objects presented. Exceptional sources, personal manuscripts, prints and drawings from all periods, dazzling bindings... Booksellers and gallery owners bring to light priceless written and iconographic treasures, and this exceptional cultural event is a unique opportunity to discover a universal heritage.
