I would like to invite you to the 42nd ILAB Congress and 26th International Antiquarian Book Fair in Budapest from 21 to 25 September 2016. Our friend, colleague and President of the Hungarian Antiquarian Booksellers' Association Adam Bosze has organized a fabulous congress programme that leads us to the most important and beautiful sites in and around the Hungarian capital.

On behalf of the Hungarian Antiquarian Booksellers' Association, I kindly invite you to the 42nd Congress of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers, which will take place in Budapest between 21 and 23 September, 2016. I am very proud that we, the Hungarian Antiquarian Booksellers' Association, have the honour to organise this prestigious event, and I promise to do my very best to ensure that all participants can take home an enriching experience with them. It makes me especially happy to be able to welcome you at the First Budapest International Antiquarian Book Fair on 24 and 25 Septembert 2016, related to the ILAB Congress, both as visitors and as exhibitors.

After Paris, Lucerne, Bologna and Madrid book dealers and book collectors will meet in Budapest for the 42nd ILAB Congress and 26th International Antiquarian Book Fair from 21 to 25 September 2016.
The exciting congress programme will show the delegates from across the world that Budapest is a city with many faces: the old Hungarian capital full of books and music, history and tradition and at the same time a lively and busy Eastern European centre full of young and amazing cultural concepts.

9:30 am: World of the Bibliotheca Corviniana - Codex Dante. Guided tour through the Library of the Eötvös Loránd University
11:30 am: General Assembly in the library's grand hall
1 pm: Lunch at the Café Central
3 pm: Free time activity
5 pm: Gödöllö, Lázár Equestrian Park. Horse show, pálinka, traditional Hungarian cuisine, live gipsy music etc.

24 - 25 September 2016 - International Antiquarian Book Fair
Our world is global and we have a wide variety of means of communication at our disposal. Why bother to travel a long way to meet real people?
Just as the virtual book is not a substitute for a real book, just as we want to see, feel, and touch a real book, we want to meet real people and talk to them, face-to-face, as we prefer to "meet" a book "face-to-face". This is what the ILAB Congresses offer: the possibility to meet colleagues, collectors, librarians, and real books, and the possibility for collectors, librarians, and real books to meet us. Amor librorum nos unit!
CONGRESS REGISTRATION
Early Bird Fee (until 31st January 2016): 1.079 Euros
Regular Fee (from 1st February 2016): 1.143 Euros
On-Site Fee (from 12th September 2016): 1.524 Euros
