The internet may neither replace the real world nor the real books. And this is precisely what the ILAB Congresses and International Antiquarian Book Fairs have offered over the decades and what they still offer today: the possibility to meet colleagues, collectors, librarians, and real books, and the possibility for collectors, librarians and real books to meet us!
The Syndicat national de la Librairie Ancienne et Moderne (SLAM) celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2014. On this occasion SLAM and its President Anne Lamort are pleased and proud to welcome antiquarian booksellers from all over the world to the 41st Congress of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers in Paris. The stunning program includes: a visit to the Arsenal Library, a presentation of the treasures held in the National Library of France, excursions to the castles of Ecouen and Chantilly with their marvellous Museum of the Renaissance and bibliophile collections along with private tours of the Dutuit Collection and the Mazarine Library.
