Scandinavian Antiquarian Book Fair 2011 -Celebrating the Book
From 24th to 26th November 2011, 44 antiquarian booksellers from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Holland, England, Switzerland, France, and Hungary will gather at Copenhagen's beautiful Round Tower for one of the biggest antiquarian book fairs ever held in Scandinavia.
The exhibitors will showcase rare books, manuscripts and prints from all fields of interest and price-ranges. Book binders, paper restorers, and paper artists will demonstrate the variety of book craft in workshops and lectures. Kierkegaard as a Book Collector
A theologian and philosopher, Søren Kierkegaard was above all an author. He liked books, he bought books, read books, used books, but most of all he enjoyed writing books. His reference library of about 2.380 volumes served as an inspiration for himself as an author. After his death, the library was sold at a public auction, the catalogue was possibly prepared by Herman H.J. Lynge. The exhibition shows a private attempt of reconstructing Kierkegaard's library.
