CABS-Minnesota 2024: Registration Now Open

Friends and Colleagues,
I'm pleased to announce that registration for the 2024 edition of CABS-Minnesota (formerly the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar) is now open. The Seminar will take place from July 14-20 on the campus of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. We're looking forward to a lively – and intense – week of knowledge-sharing and camaraderie.

CABS-Minnesota, founded in 1977, is the only program of its kind in the country: an immersive week of instruction, from some of the country's best booksellers and librarians, in the history, craft, and techniques of antiquarian bookselling. Some three thousand students have passed through the program over its 47-year history, many having gone on to long and successful careers in the book trade, in librarianship, and as private collectors.

Tuition for the week-long program is $1800. Room and Board (campus accommodations and meal plan) are an additional $700; there are also off-campus hotel options available nearby. Enrollment is strictly limited to 50 students, and if recent history is any indication we'll reach our enrollment limit well before the sign-up deadline of July 1st. We're still finalizing parts of our course schedule and teaching assignments; as soon as these are confirmed I'll be posting updates on this forum and on the CABS website. For now, I'll just say that our lineup of returning instructors is rock-solid, including:
