Early American Fiction Collection (1789-1875)

Several hundred volumes of early American fiction dating from 1789-1875, in digitalized form. The texts include first printings of works by James Fenimore Cooper, Edgar Allan Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, as well as more obscure authors like Rufus Dawes and Hannah Webster Foster. Part of the database, created by the University of Virginia Library, is open to public users.
