A True Gem of Catalan Modernism

The Associación Ibéria de Librerias Anticuarias (AILA) hosts two important events of the bibliophile calendar, alternating between two amazing cities. After Madrid in 2009, more than 50 rare book dealers from Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Denmark, Netherlands, and Germany will exhibit at the Barcelona International Antiquarian Book Fair from May 13 to 16, 2010. The exhibitors, all ILAB affiliates, show treasures of the trade from incunabula to modern illustrated books at the beautiful Casa Batlló, which is in itself a masterpiece of architecture and a true gem of Catalan Modernism built by Antoni Gaudi from 1904 to 1906.
