Books of Wonder

Books of Wonder is the largest and oldest independent children's bookstore in New York City. Founded in 1980, it has always focused on new and antique children's books, as well as original art from children's books. In addition to our wall of antique children's books from the 19th and 20th centuries and our gallery of original children's book art and graphics, we also maintain a large inventory of modern editions signed by their authors and artists -- all offered at the publisher's list price. We also host numerous events (often 2-4 per week) with children's book authors and artists.
