General Unless stated otherwise all items are original copper or steel plate engravings or woodcuts, published at or near the date specified. Colour is by hand unless noted to the contrary. The expression "original colour" means that the item was coloured at or about the time of publication. No other representations as to colour are made. Measurements are given in millimetres, height by width, excluding margins. Each item is in good condition although some have the usual minor imperfections caused by use. Care has been taken in noting serious flaws. All items are offered subject to prior sale, and remain the property of Antiquariaat Plantijn until payment has been received in full. Prices, stated in Euro’s, do not include postage. Condition Describing a map's and book condition is highly subjective. That said, we have outlined below a brief method we use to provide a consistent way to qualify the condition of all maps. Even though all the maps are in at least reasonable collectible condition, information on map condition and especially flaws are mentioned. Where flaws are noted, subsequent repairs are mentioned. Payment Conditions We accept Paypal and bank transfers. Costs involved in international bank transfers are for full account of the buyer. Security Policy Your payment and personal information is always safe. All online payments are processed and managed by PayPal Inc. PayPal encrypts all personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet. Shipping Information We ship packages worldwide, using Federal Express, DHL, UPS or TNT. All orders are shipped the next business day. When you order an item, you will receive an auto-generated confirmation email, confirming that your order has been processed by our email server. We will follow up with written confirmation that your order is in stock and has been shipped. Please do not hesitate to email or phone us if you have other questions. Shipment of ordered item[s] is for the risk of the buyer. On request of the buyer insured shipment can be arranged. Please ask for a quotation. Packaging We have several shipping methods, depending upon the item. Maps are typically shipped either flat or in custom packing tubes. Return Policy All purchases may be returned for any reason within 7 days of receipt of the item for a full refund excluding shipping costs. Items must be returned through registered mail or by courier in the same condition as when the item left the gallery. If you wish to return an item, please follow these instructions: 1. Phone or email us a message that you plan to return an item purchased. While it is not required that you give us a reason for the return, we always appreciate an explanation. 2. Returned items should be properly secured and packed before shipping. 3. Returned items should be shipped back through registered mail or by courier in the same condition as when the item left the gallery and adequately insured. 4. We typically issue refunds within 2 business days of the receipt of a returned item. If a buyer is not satisfied for any reason he may return an item for a full refund of the purchase price, provided it is sent back within ten (10) days at the expense of the buyer, properly wrapped, fully insured and returned in the same condition as when received by the buyer.
