decoration10 Jan. 2017|10 Feb. 2017
A guest essay series by scholar & collector, Dr Maureen E. Mulvihill (Princeton Research Forum, NJ), hosted online by Bruce McKinney's Rare Book Hub, San Francisco (see Monthly Articles). Three essays (uploaded Oct 1st, Nov. 1st, Dec. 1st, 2016) on new editions of 17thC Women Writers  (Lady Anne Killigrew; Lady Hester Pulter; Margaret Cavendish, Duchess of Newcastle). Illustrated essays, each with a Gallery of Images.

The third essay has now been published. It discusses Sara Mendelson's edition of Margaret Cavendish's utopian feminist fantasia, The Blazing-World (London: Anne Maxwell, 1666, 1668; Ontario: Broadview Press, 2016). This is an immersive essay (23 pages, 13 images), with particular attention to the physical 17thC book and the methodologies of scholarly editing.
