A unique illustrated source on the Spanish conquest of Peru

The current exhibition is dedicated to a masterpiece of world history which in Spanish is titled  El primer nueva corónica y buen gobierno  of Filipe Guaman Poma de Ayala. As the only place in the world, the original manuscript can be seen in the Royal Library's treasures exhibition in the Montana Hall in the Black Diamond.

Guaman Poma's chronicle is one of the greatest treasures in the Royal. Library. Chronicle written in the years 1612-1615, describing it as only source of an Andean indigenous view of the Spanish conquest and of disastrous changes in Peru in årtiene for. The 1,200-page long, handwritten report with 400 full-page illustrations in 2007 was recognized by UNESCO as a World inalienable heritage.

The exhibition is a traveling exhibition produced by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Peru.
