After the great success in 2010 and in 2011 both Dutch antiquarian booksellers associations, the Nederlandsche Vereeniging van Antiquaren (NVvA) and the Bond van handelaren in Oude Boeken (BOB) will again organize and support an Antiquarian Book Fair where more than 60 Dutch and foreign dealers present wonderful books, manuscripts, maps and prints from all centuries.

This year’s Amsterdam Antiquarian Book, Map & Print Fair will be held on Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6 in the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam. 30 ILAB dealers from the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, United Kingdom and the United States will present rare and valuable books, manuscripts and ephemera from all centuries. In addition, book foundations, bibliophile organizations and magazines will present their work, as for example:
Bijzondere Collecties UvA, Boekenpost, De Boekenwereld, Museum Meermanno, Nederlandse Boekhistorische Vereniging, Uitgeverij De Buitenkant and the Vereniging Nederlandse Handboekbinderijen.

Eva Rovers, biographer of Boudewijn Büch, will open the 33rd edition of the Amsterdam Antiquarian Book, Map & Print Fair on Friday, October 5 at 1.45 pm. In 2010 Rovers published a widely acclaimed and award-winning biography of art collector Helene Kröller-Müller. Since 2011 she is working on the biography of the bibliophile writer and television producer Boudewijn Büch, for which she has gained exclusive access to his archives. On Saturday, October 6 at 3.00 pm Rovers will present the Boudewijn Büch-Prize, awarded to someone who has brought antiquarian books to the attention of a large audience. This year the award will go posthumously to the recently deceased poet, novelist and book collector Gerrit Komrij.
